Organization Description :

Objective: Cambodia Global Action (CGA) is a local non-government organization (LNGO) which was localized from international organization (INGO), Assemblies of God, in June 2004. CGA has been officially registered in and recognized by the Ministry of Interior (MOI). 

CGA- CHE program is implementing community development through education and training for the entire period.For 6 years now since 1999, the CHE has been conscientiously providing training on waste management, hygiene, tree seedling, capacity building of community in areas of agriculture, social, gender, and water and sanitation. 

The CHE program has been a primary resource for the people of the target areas with other affiliated organizations: it has been involved in scores of program mostly in community development. It is mostly promoting hygiene, water and sanitation, and agricultural training in the areas which directly affect and influence men, women, especially the children. In 2005 CGA-CHE has 9 Training Teams covering 77 villages in 9 locations (Kompong Speu, Kompong Cham, Kandal / Saang, Kandal / Khean Svay, Phnom Penh / Dangkao, Siem Reap, Takeo, Kampot, Stung Treng) at the end of 2005. 

CGA has different programs such as School program, Orphan program and Community Health Education (CHE) program. The following are CGA- CHE program’s current projects: 

*Water and sanitation project *Management of waste project *Dishrag project *Promotion of gender equality project *Agriculture project *Home garden and tree nursery project *Families Environment competition projects *Model family project *Animal raising project 

CGA-CHE program is basically focused on capacity building and hygiene and sanitation. The program is provided the awareness of hygiene, water and sanitation and environmental awareness through education, training, and advocacy to communities.
