Overview :
NEA works closely with Grassroots Organisations to educate the community on environmental issues. Many volunteers have been heavily involved in dengue prevention programmes and activities at the community level for many years. The Environment Champions (Community) programmes aims to cater to the growing interests among these community volunteers on other environment issues such as climate change, resource conservation and energy efficiency amongst others.
Objectives :
* To empower volunteers by equipping them with the knowledge / skills on a broad range of environmental issues so that they can effectively complement NEA’s efforts in reaching out to the public.
* To actively support the continued qualitative growth of its working relationship with community organisations.
