Organization Description :
ERTC is responsible for monitoring, research and training activities. The main objectives of ERTC are
1)To undertake practical research programmes on environmental management, particularly in the field of water pollution, air pollution, noise, solid wastes and toxic substances.
2)To promote and encourage research activities on environment quality in cooperation with educational establishments and other agencies.
3)To strengthen environmental monitoring programmes for use in the planning and determination of national environmental quality standards and to formulate guidelines for the improvement of environmental quality.
4)To provide training programmes in environmental management for government and other organizations.
5)To provide environmental education programmes for staff at all levels and to train people with the appropriate expertise to be qualified instructors.
