NEA bears resposibility for assisting the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (MOSTE) to perform the function of State management on environment protection throughout Vietnam. One of the main tasks of NEA is to conduct education and training activities on environment.
NEA works closely with the Ministry of Education and Training to integrate environment protection into National Education Systems. For raising awareness on environment, NEA works closely with the mass organizations, unions and socio-politic organizations.
