Target Audience : Each year 3 rural secondary schools are invited to send 30 Form 2 students each to participate in this programme to promote the learning of science, technology and environmental education.

Overview :
To facilitate the spread of a culture of science and technology, and environmental awareness in schools
Objective :
The objectives of this project are to:
Raise awareness and interest of students in science and technology, and environmental studies
Increase knowledge of students in science related subjects;
Provide opportunities for students to be exposed to the application of science and technology in our daily life, and instilling awareness of man-made and natural environment outside the formal school system; and
Expose students to career options in science, technology and environmental science related fields.
Course Content :
Application of science and technology in factories, industries, dissemination of information etc
Nature/environmental education, conservation and waste management (recycling)
Delivery Method : Visiting and attending talks delivered by people on the jobs, providing hands-on experiential learning, contextual and science, technology & society learning approaches.
Frequency : On 4 Saturdays spreading through 4-6 months. Each day 8 hours and comprising two major activities.
Venue : Various parts of Penang, such as Penang Hill, Butterfly Farm, Teluk Bahang Water Reservoir, Museum USM, Planetarium, Forest Museum etc
