In the Lao P.D.R,the contents of Environmental Education in General Schools are taught integrally in many subjects of both Primary and Secondary Levels. At Primary Schools, EE is a big part of a subject called “The World Around Us”(it contains Natural Sciences; Social, Health and Environmental Studies). Moreover it is included in many lessons on using of natural materials of Handicraft and in some texts of Lao language. At Lower Secondary Schools it is largely taught in Natural and Social Sciences. At Upper Secondary Schools, The Natural Science is divided in to Biology, Physics and Chemistry; and Social Science in to Geography, Civic Education and history’s the environmental studies are included at all cited subjects.

Even the Environmental Education in Lao schools is not a independent subject, but its objective is to develop some basic knowledge, skills and attitudes about natural and manmade environments, relationships between living and nonliving things, its usefulness, necessities of its conservation.
