Overview :
The programmes involve experiential and hands-on learning approaches used during activities in the botanic garden
Objective :
To develop and provide holistic environmental programme based on the social, personal as well as the ecological components of the environment.
The programme activities also encourage leadership skills and a positive attitude towards the environment and nature through experiential, participatory learning.
Course Content :
Guided tour of Rimba Ilmu and its scientific and conservation functions
Plant and animal ecology
Birdwatching
Useful tropical plant and forest resources
Special conservation topics
Recycling of waste materials
Environmental games
Nature-oriented activities, e.g., nature craft, nature hunt, etc.
Delivery Method : Talks & Slide ShowsHands-on activities on field
Frequency : Generally about 40 programmes per year
Venue : Rimba Ilmu Environmental Education Programme
