Environmental Baseline Study and Environmental Impact Assessment.

Implementing Organisation : Department of Zoology, University of Yangon

Type : Awareness of Environmental Management and Biodiversity Conservation.

Overview :

Natural resources and environment are vital for the existence of all living things including human beings. New technology and rapid increase of human population have caused over exploitation of natural resources. Major Development projects like hydro power dam construction and Mining activity destruct the environment and as its consequences, ecological diversity and species diversity become low. Environmental Baseline Study and Environmental Impact Assessment are therefore essential for all development activities in order to conduct the mitigation measure and to reduce the reverse impacts.

Objectives :

To understand the habitat-animal interaction.
