Overview :

To study the fundamental principles, natural hazards as part of environment, various types of natural hazards, human actions and environmental impact, impact of changing economic activities and resource management.

Objective :

To understand the field of Environmental Studies as an integrated discipline and the nature of its relationship to the surroundings, to know the solid foundation in the natural sciences and the environment, to deal successfully with the environmental problems awareness of the cultural and historical evolutionary processes for decision making.

Curriculum Description :

3 hours lecture and two hours tutorial per week.
To understand the natural and human induced hazardous effects upon the environment, and have a sound knowledge of resource management.
4 hours lecture and one hour tutorial per week for one semester.

Natural hazards as part of the environment, human actions and environmental impact, changing economic activities and resource management.
