Overview :
The Environment Education has been integrated in population education and environment subject in Teacher Training College with 11+3 training system (grade 11+3 years of training in TTC). It is a compulsory subject for every student teacher. This subject cab be taught at TTC during the third semester or the fifth semester depending on the section selected by students. Student teachers have to pass examination at the end of those semesters. They need to lean theory, to carry out some activities related to environment inside TTC or outside the TTC.

Objective :
To equip student teachers with environmental knowledge in a wide range of perspectives, To raise E.E awareness among student teachers and To enable student teachers to teach E.E in lower secondary schools.
Curriculum Description :
In this course student teachers have to learn, the definition and the importance of environment, the environment and the development in Lao P.D.R. Basic knowledge of the world environment.
Course Content :
-Definition: The components and the importance of environment
-The relationship between population and the environment
-The great danger from problems of environment pollution, Change in world environment
-New concept and old concept about the development
-The potentiality of natural resources which composed the basic for the economic development in Lao P.D.R.
-The control and the preservation of environment in Lao P.D.R. during the previous years
-The major problems of environment in Lao P.D.R.
-The Lao Government policy on environment
-The environment law in Lao P.D.R.
Frequency : One Semester in the 2nd year of Teacher Training Program
